About us
We are a young translation agency specialising in modern communication. We offer high quality, fast delivery and low prices – without any minimum fees.
We cater to a wide range of clients from children’s clothing brands to major industrial players and everyone in between, helping them to communicate their message in a multitude of languages. What they all have in common is a need for reliable, high-quality translation services.
We are located in the heart of Copenhagen's biggest district, Nørrebro, and in the NOVI Business park in Aalborg Ø. In both locations, we share office spaces with other companies, and in Nørrebro we are close to the city's vibrant life.
Our project managers and employees have the flexibility to choose whether they want to work 30 or 37 hours a week, depending on what suits their work and family life best.
This ensures that our employees have time for both hobbies and family life and creates a harmonious working environment, which ultimately benefits both suppliers and customers.
The translation process
Translators
All of our translators work for Translated By Us on a freelance basis. They are online and available to receive assignments, which are always given high priority due to our close cooperation.
All of our translators are experts in one or more fields. Meet some of them here.
Many of our translators specialise in specific fields like law or medicine, while others have extensive experience with modern communication channels and are familiar with their special challenges.
Technology
Even simple document translation services benefit greatly from our translation memories and term bases, which ensure consistency and the use of correct terms in your translation. We only work with the latest technology, which is continually updated and improved. This helps to reduce complexity in tasks like full website translation services. Language combinations
We are a complete provider of professional translation services. We specialise in a wide range of language combinations and have built relationships with some of the best translators in the world, who are online and ready to translate your text. We can therefore offer translations to and from virtually any language, meaning that we are much more than a Scandinavian translation agency.
File formats
We can translate in almost any file format: XML, HTML, InDesign, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and many others. Our primary translation tool is Phrase.
Products
Basic: EUR 0.13/word
Select Basic to translate low-complexity texts. These may be short product texts, software, user-friendly manuals, internal communication, simple newsletters or updates for social media.
Business: EUR 0.16/word
Choose Business if you want Us to spend extra time creating idiomatic language that flows naturally. This is recommended for e.g. marketing and PR material.
Choose Business for specialised texts that require knowledge of a particular industry or subject-specific terminology, e.g. texts dealing with production, technology, transport, construction, architecture, IT, medicine, cosmetics, health, nutrition or law.
Advice
A high-quality source text
A translation can only be as good as its source text.
A high-quality source text will have already been checked for spelling and grammatical errors as well as any ambiguous wording that might be misunderstood.
Localisation
Is it enough to translate your text? Or should it also be localised?
Here are some examples of elements that should be localised:
- Currencies
- URLs
- Addresses
- Names and Places
- Special characters
If your text is to be translated into a language that uses different characters, you must decide whether proper nouns should be rewritten in the target language or preserved as written in the source text.
