How much does website translation cost?
When you order a website translation from Us, your price will be calculated using a standard per-word rate. The per-word rate depends on the volume, language combination and complexity of your content. We are always open to discussing price and quality. There’s no denying the differences in complexity when translating descriptions of exclusive high-end products for the discerning, quality-conscious consumer and translating tens of thousands of simple product blurbs for customers on the hunt for the lowest prices.
Don’t get us wrong – we are only interested in delivering the highest quality – but if you have a sprawling website containing hundreds of short, simple texts with identical or overlapping content, then it’s likely we’ll be able to trim the price a bit. We understand that translating a website can be a daunting undertaking, so let’s have a chat about your expectations for quality and your budget for website translation.
Send us an e-mail at info@translatedbyus.com with a link to your website, or call us on +45 71 96 96 67 for a concrete proposal. We’re happy to discuss how we would approach the task.
Why translate your website?
Are you planning to enter one or more new markets with your company? In that case, it’s a good idea to translate your website into several languages. Studies show that the majority of us are much more likely to buy a product when it’s described in our own language.
Furthermore, local presence improves your Google rankings and conversion rates, so it pays to translate your website.
At Translated By Us, we translate all types of websites in more than 800 different language combinations. We offer website translation in many different languages for a variety of industries, including law, IT and pharmaceuticals.
How we manage ongoing website translation updates
If you frequently update your website, we recommend that you implement an integration between your website and Us as your translation agency. An integration will save you both time and money on website administration, and with continuous updates in all languages, your content will always be relevant and up-to-date.
That’s something Google recognises and rewards in its search results. Implementing an integration is no longer an extensive, expensive operation. It’s a rather small investment that can eliminate about 90% of your administration.
We offer integration for DKK 99/month for the following platforms:
- Adobe CQ/AEM
- DNN CMS
- Drupal
- EpiServer
- Sitecore
- Umbraco
- WordPress Multilanguage

Find the right translation team
A website is your company’s digital business card – that’s something we really understand. It’s also why we always go to great lengths to find the perfect professional and linguistic match, so that your website translation is carried out by a team of native speakers of the target language with extensive experience in your industry.
The project managers at Translated By Us are responsible for assembling the right team for your website translation, and they take this responsibility very seriously. Each translator has a distinct linguistic idiolect (a unique way of writing and speaking) and specific strengths that aren’t always suited to every task. It’s important to Us to match our clients’ specific needs with the individual styles and specialities of our translators. We know our translators’ strengths and limitations like the back of our hands, and we use this knowledge to choose the best team for your website.
At Translated By Us, we work with hundreds of translators around the world, which means that we can even handle website translation for smaller markets with local variants (e.g. Mexican Spanish). Do you want to know more about our website translation services, or do you have questions about website translation in general? Then contact Translated By Us today by phone (+45) 71 96 96 67 or by email info@translatedbyus.com.
Languages come in many shapes and sizes
It’s tempting to choose the cheap and easy solution when testing the waters of a new market, but simply rolling out an English-language version of your website will leave a large part of the local customer base unlikely to buy your products.
Not all customers are as comfortable with English as we are here in Denmark, and many find it reassuring when a website has been translated into their native language. Choosing the right language can thus make all the difference to your conversion rate.
English usage in countries such as Italy, Spain, Thailand and Germany isn’t as ubiquitous as it is here in Denmark – especially among the older generations. It’s therefore important to think carefully about your target customer segment. You could easily lose many potential customers in a new market if you limit your website translation to English.
To complicate matters further, many of the world’s major languages (including English, French and German) are spoken in several varieties. These vary significantly in terms of grammar, word choice and cultural expressions. There are of course many overlaps, but choosing to market your products in the “wrong” variation can be off-putting for the local population. Considering the historical reasons why major languages such as English, French and Spanish are spoken throughout the world, we strongly encourage you to address the local population in their own language. But don’t worry – it doesn’t have to be an expensive affair if you’ve already translated your website into e.g. Spanish or English. We’ll simply comb through the existing website and adapt the text to the local variety: e.g. from British English to American English or from Spanish to Latin American Spanish.

While this is theoretically possible, most systems include the ability to export the text. This usually streamlines the process, producing an optimal result and using fewer resources. If that’s not possible, we would of course be happy to log in to your system and translate your texts from within.
Yes! Not only is this not a problem, it’s also usually a really good idea. We can send the finished texts to you for internal review before we post anything.

Yes, we work with state-of-the-art translation software that automatically hides the code text (e.g. HTML) from our translators. And you can rest assured that it will never be included in the wordcount used to calculate the price.
